Donald L. Spry, 92, of Janesville died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at his home. He was born in Janesville on April 5, 1920, the son of Frank S. and Dora Mae (Eales) Spry. He graduated from Janesville High School. Donald served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in England and Belgium where he served in the Battle of the Bulge. He married Phyllis Drafahl on December 2, 1947. Donald was employed for many years by Parker Pen Company. He formerly enjoyed playing golf and bowling,  He had been an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed college sports.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, 3 children, Janice (Brad) Rein of Edgerton, Audrey Spry of Oshkosh, WI, Charles (Debra) Spry of Orfordville, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Raymond(Betty) Spry, Norbert Spry, Howard (Judie) Spry and 1 sister, Mildred (Robert) Jordan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Everett Spry, Ernest Spry, Stanley Spry who died in infancy, 2 sisters, Alva Blackstone and Phyllis Conaway.
There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
